DOUBLE PODIUM FOR JUSTIN DI BENEDETTO AT CTMP SEASON OPENER
Vaughan (Ontario), May 20, 2024 - Di Benedetto Racing kicked off the SCCC season opener with Justin Di Benedetto securing two podiums on his maiden race weekend in GT4 competion.
Di Benedetto in his first season of GT4 competiton was able qualify third and shortly after the green flagged dropped he quickly moved into second place. Battling throughout the race with his team mate, he was able to hold the position and secure a second place podium finish piloting the Syntheia AI sponsored Porsche 718 GT4 RS Clubsport on Saturdays race at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
On Sundays race, Justin once again started in third position and started challenging for the lead. Unfortunately, the car experienced some technical issues during the event, which forced him to reduce pace. He was able to drive the car home, and secured a podium position finishing in third place.
“Overall, it was a learning weekend for the team,” said Justin Di Benedetto. “We showed that the Porsche has a lot of pace, and we’ve truly hit the ground running with this car. We were able to collect a solid amount of points in this first weekend of the season, and we’ll be looking to carry the momentum into the remaining events. I’d like to thank all the partners who came on board with us this year, we feel very privileged to have their support. It is incredibly exciting to be working with everyone and we’ll be working hard to ensure that we are in a strong position to challenge for more great results throughout the season.”
The next event will take place from June 21-23, 2024 at Calabogie Motorsports Park.
