Great Results at Round 3 & 4 at Calabogie for Justin Di Benedetto

Vaughan, ON (August 31, 2020) – The Micra Cup Round 3 & 4 weekend at Calabogie Motorpsorts Park worked out to be an exceptional weekend for rookie Canadian racer Justin Di Benedetto, taking 2 podium finishes - including a first place finish in the Rookie class.

The weekend started with a rain filled day on Saturday and despite the poor weather conditions Justin was able to qualify in third place amongst a field of 17 cars.  Battling with series veteran Jesse Lazzare, Justin was able to finish the race in fifth place.  

Sunday the weather was warmer with sun filled skies and Justin was able to start the race in fourth position on the grid.   He gained a position on the start and continued on to finish in third place, securing his first podium finish ever in the Nissan Micra Cup series and furthermore secured first place podium for top rookie driver for the day.

The team wishes to thank the team at SPI (Simone Performance Inc.) for preparing the car and fellow teammates Gavin Sanders and Mark Davis for a great weekend of racing and its partners which make all this possible.

Up next is ICAR in Mirabel, Quebec for round 5 & 6 of the Nissan Micra Cup series on September 11-12.
