Podium Finish for Justin Di Benedetto and Team Apex V2R at CTMP - ChampCar Endurance Series

Bownmanville (ON), October 10, 2021 – Di Benedetto Racing participated in the Canadian ChampCar Endurance series this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park with the Apex V2R Scion FRS endurance car. Justin and his co-pilots Gavin Sanders, Nicholas Hornbostel and Marc Andre Seguin entered into the two day endurance event. The team was able to secure a podium finish securing third place in its class.

The event hosted over thirty cars from Ontario, Quebec and the USA. This was one of the largest ChampCar fields at CTMP in the history of the Canadian series.

Saturday the team quickly secured P1 during the race, setting fast laps in wet conditons. Midway through the eight hour event, the FRS developed engine missfiring problems and eventually the car had to be retired.

Sunday, the FRS was healthy again with new parts installed overnight. The car ran excellent and the team was able to finish the seven hour event on the podium, securing P3 in its class.
